Beth's hiking partner, Marcia Roland, has a hiking guide business in North Carolina.

As a volunteer, Beth Abel created the High Adventure Team in 1996 so that teenage Girl Scouts would have an on-going opportunity to become empowered by their accomplishments in the outdoors. Beth continues to lead teen backpacking groups through training events and trips.  Enjoy becoming acquainted with Beth as she share her passion for long distance backpacking with the Girl Scouts.
